About VRWAThe Vermont Rural Water Association (VRWA) is a nonprofit trade association of water and wastewater systems throughout the state. Our mission is to promote public health and a clean environment by supporting Vermont's water and wastewater systems. To that end, our field technicians made more than 1,200 visits to water and wastewater systems in 2005, assisting with everything from finding leaks to setting new rates. VRWA works one-on-one with systems to help with any type of financial, managerial, or technical problem. Due to our success at gaining federal and state funding, we are able to offer expert onsite assistance and phone consultations at no cost to the system or community. Our training programs are also subsidized by outside funding, allowing us to charge only a modest materials fee while still providing first-class, hands-on training for operators. For more information on our training, source water protection and onsite assistance programs, explore our website or contact us. We can also assist systems in working with state regulators, engineering firms, and other groups. VRWA's field work is only possible with the support of our members. Members receive our publications, updates on ever-evolving industry regulations, and discounts on events and training. Visit our membership area to join! |
